Firefighters have stormed one of the world’s busiest train stations in the early hours of Friday, May 29.
Services at Penn Station in New York City were severely disrupted after an Amtrak track car fire in one of the Hudson River Tunnels, NJ Transit said.
Two people were seriously injured.
The engine fire started on track 11 just west of Penn Station, and services remain suspended for several hours.
Some services resumed, but others remain suspended including the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road).
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
