£99 Samsung Galaxy phones are up for grabs, but ludicrous deal won’t last long

A new deal has been confirmed that’s ideal for anyone wanting a new smartphone without paying flagship prices. Amazon has just confirmed a limited-time price cut on the Galaxy A16, meaning it can now be added to online shopping baskets for just £99. Yes, you did read that correctly. You really can get a new Android device for under £100. So what does this smartphone feature and should you invest in one?
The A16 comes packed with a 6.7-inch display, Exynos 3110 processor and a large 5,000mAh battery for all-day usage.
It even features a water-resistant design, fast charging, and a fingerprint sensor for easy unlocking and secure payments.
On the rear case is a triple-lens camera that can capture ultra-wide images and great close-up snaps, thanks to its macro lens.
Another bonus is Samsung’s promise of 6 years of updates, which means this device will stay safe and secure. It currently costs £139 from Samsung’s website, and the Amazon deal is one of the cheapest we’ve ever seen.
Now, it’s worth noting that this a low cost call maker so it isn’t all that powerful and we wouldn’t recommend it for power users.
It also can’t connect to faster 5G data speeds, as it’s only 4G-compatible.

Other missing features include wireless charging, toughened Gorilla glass and fast 120Hz refresh rate for speedy scrolling.
It’s also only available at this price from Amazon in fairly boring black and grey (those buying from Samsung get an additional green colour to choose from).
If none of that bothers you and you are simply looking for a basic device, a second phone, or something for children to use to stay safe on the walk to school, this is certainly worth considering.
Amazon says the deal is only available for a limited time, but other stores are also offering similar deals.
